Everyone has seen the amazing cut-paper Garland Light or Dawn Curtain by Tord Boontje. But did you know that he is a long-standing designer with a really diverse body of work? I, for one, did not....probably due to the fact that I am horribly overdue in reading design magazines. But anyway...
Above are some images from the Tord Boontje site...among my favorites, a collaboration with Alexander McQueen, and the Wednesday Collection, which was designed after the birth of his daughter.
He also creative directed, art directed and designed the entire Target Xmas experience last year....from the ads to the wrapping paper. Pretty interesting and very inspiring to see how this designer applies his asthetic and creative discoveries across many platforms, products, and projects.
The photos above are from the Alexander McQueen store collaboration. Check all the other projects out on
TordBoontje.com.

oooo...McQueen! Good collaboration and great pieces that developed from it. I love the Target line he did as well....I love designers today don't just do one thing, but diversify their portfolios

mmm. totally. I love Alexander McQueen. My favorite thing he ever made was the Union Jack coat for David Bowie.... so royal, yet so rock at the same time....sigh.
