Sorry for the lack of the post on Friday, everyone. A mental health day was needed. I am much better now. Much.
So, I think the weirdest thing about getting older (other than the very short, spiky gray hairs that have started to stick out from the center of my forehead) is the fact that there was a day...a sudden day...where it dawned on me that I simply could not get away with what I used to, clothingwise.
Which is why I have a non-jersey policy at the moment. I am opting, when I can, to purchase only cotton-y, blousy fabrics. Perhaps because they are light, perhaps because they are more forgiving than knitwear, or perhaps because of the colors, patterns, and needlework they can hold.
I am completely in LOVE with the entire collection....past and present.... at Tucker. The cuts are classic. The shapes are sexy. The prints are pretty, and all without revealing too much-- and yet more than enough. I am absolutely in love with these simple ideas, so perfectly translated into clothing. Not to mention, there's a 70's twist that I find easy, breezy.
