So, yesterday I decided to go for a walk during lunch. I found myself in the shoe section at Strawberry on 42nd and Lex, contemplating buying a very high, very exaggerated, pair of platform sandals with 4" heels. Luckily, I came to my senses just in time, and squashed the urge to shoe shop buy indulging in a giant burrito, which rendered me pretty much motionless for the rest of the afternoon.
Still, perhaps I'm influenced by my trip to the teenybopper stores yesterday, but I'm finding myself wanting to wear bright bangles, tights under my sandals, and big jewelry. That being said, I realize that if I adopt any of these looks, my doorman is probably going to wonder if I'm working a corner to make ends meet. I bet that won't stop me from yearning to head to the new TopShop in NYC, which should be opening tomorrow.
