So, I can't take credit for the title up here, because part of it is a line from one of my favorite poems by Stanley Kunitz.
But, I love the idea of layers. Layering influences, moods, insirations and experiences is what creates a unique style, life, and artistic sense. Anyway, here are three little examples of some visual layerings that called out to me. I love the vitality and uniqueness of each of these ideas.
1. A gorgeous pairing of large-scale lace and denim (my personal pick), and a warming stripe with lively embroidery.
2. A variety of interpretations of the heart, showing through to the color underneath
3. An exuberant reinterpretation of vintage ruffles and a melange of textures create depth.
By the by... I'm a little under the weather this week so I apologize for not commenting back/posing more frequently. Thanks for all your comments and I'm so glad you liked last week's posts! xx susy
