I thought these abstract, simple collages were a nice send-off for the weekend, and made a nice accent to this morning's post.
These pieces feel so positive, without being overly cutesy or contrite. The idea of sitting down and creating a composition with just a few materials and colors has always been something I was drawn to. And I thought this sweet little shop, Neon and Neutral, had a lot of good ideas, simply expressed.
Definitely check out more here and treat yourself to some color play!
I'm digging the neon, Suzy! I've been contemplating it myself lately. I LOVE the top one with the silver.

Yes, I thought they were simple and pretty. : )
THanks Cassie - yep, that's what I was going for. I'm pretty much obsessed with this particular yellow. Seeing it all over NYC in the past month or so!
Claudia...sorry but it's Susy with an S not a Z : )

These collages remind me quite strongly of Josef Albers and his color studies. Two years ago, I took a class completely devoted to recreating his studies with our own colors and it was incredibly helpful in developing an eye for color. I love what this person is doing.
