Hi. Sorry to be away for so long... I've been up to my bobbypins in work.

I've been thinking about learning to sew. Possibly because Kurt and I are hooked on Project Runway, which makes it look actually possible. Possibly because I can't seem to find exactly what I want, but I can see it in my head.

I love the combination of textures and influences in Sass and Bide's work - for me they're a perfect mix of wild and mild - The chunky accents and tonal tribal motifs combined with a more delicate point of view have me going. The shapes are sexy and raw yet subtle in their way. Wearable, inspiring...

This is my hearts page. This is my rainbows and chickens page. And this is my oversized bear, fruit, utopian landscapes, and PacMan page.

Totally into the calculated randomness of these 1908's oops 1980's sticker book pages. I love the way the glue on the back has dried creating that tell-tale stickerbook pinstripe in the background!!

Drip...Drip....Drip!

When I did the National Stationery Show this spring, I was near-ish the MoMA booth. I saw these paint drip notebooks there and really liked them. I have been wanting to post them but didn't get around to it til I saw these Minna Parikka shoes and gloves. Can't wait to see her s/s 2011 lineup.

I object.

WINDSOR NOT { tie collar }

I was really struck by this tie collar (and others like it) which I came across here

I thought the way the stripes of the thick tie fabric worked in a really great way with the loose fold. I like the way this has a menswear look. It's obvious..but also interesting.

Also thought it was a nice follow-up to yesterday's vintage suitcase post - there's a similar style at work.

As I have been saying for weeks now...it's time to get out the old art and craft supplies and go to town...

Unfortunately that won't be happening this weekend - I am so busy my head is spinning.

I really love looking at this necklace by Lara Collins. She has a bright asthetic that is always refreshing and solid.

I am also obsessed with her pillow covers, and own two of them. I can't wait to see what else she is busy creating.
