Over A Million New Friends

So...I have a new toy. I have a set of 1975 Tomy Fashion Plates which I paid entirely too much for on Ebay. Actually, I bought them in July, but was a little too lazy to take pictures of what I'd created with them til now...but I thought it would be a nice trip down memory lane for those of us who were kids in the 80's.

I actually played with these...I have many happy memories of creating my own little characters. Hopefully these little forays produced on my new (old) toy will bring back happy memories for some of you, too.

Did you know you can make over a million different designs with just one set of Fashionplates? I think I'm going to try.

All right. After a long absence, I am (tentatively) back at my blog...inspired by a recent find brought to me by one of the designers I work with.

I guess one of the photographers from This Fabulous Site came to her house via Craigslist last night to buy a chandelier.

Anyway, I am really bowled over by the work on John Kenney who is every thing a photo rep site experience should be...a wonderful, well-designed site, gorgeous, conceptual, and technically awesome work, and a broad gamut of capabilties and viewpoints from the group of photographers.

The work above is from the photographer Morten Smidt. and it's just beautiful. I love the decadent, rockstar meets dusty, Victorian corpse thing these have going on. They feel a little sinister....and that ALWAYS gets me.
